The UNESCO Giovani Road Show in which culture and innovation meet
“Smart Communities need Smart Museums” is a road show promoted by the Youth Committee
Unesco together with numerous partners active on the national territory. Each stage provides a wide range discussion among the stakeholders that make up the variegated panorama of cultural tourism of the territory in question. The talk format aims to offer to innovation makers,
entrepreneurs, digital start-ups, the third sector and public institutions an opportunity to discuss and confront each other looking for new synergies and joint development paths.
Thanks to this initiative, different subjects take up the topic, gather to discuss the technological implementation and possibilities or critical aspects of the cultural sector in which they operate.
The concept of “smart city” has evolved over time and has now reached a certain degree of maturity: from individual experiments in specific areas they have become a systemic logic that favors the integration between initiatives in different sectors and the replicability of winning solutions and proposals.
The initiative aims to investigate the cultural context of the cities that are most present enhancing their territory through projects that connect skills and transdisciplinary rescources. The aim of the cycle of meetings is to generate a fruitful comparison between the main actors
of the Italian “smart cities”, cities in which the cultural industry is one of the driving forces for the development and essential tool to ensure a better quality of life.
