Giovanni Caccamo

Giovanni Caccamo, Sicilian singer-songwriter discovered by Franco Battiato and produced by Caterina Caselli. Winner of the 65th edition of the Sanremo Festival in the New Proposals section; winner of the “Mia Martini” Critics Award and the “Lucio Dalla” press room award; is the new bet of Sugar, the most important independent record label in Italy that over the years has brought success to some of the biggest names in Italian music such as Andrea Bocelli, negramaro, Elisa, Malika Ayane, Raphael
Gualazzi.
For Malika Ayane is one of the authors of “Adesso e qui (Nostalgico presente)”, a song that wins the critics award “Mia Martini” and is ranked third in Sanremo 2015; together with Malika, he is the voice of one of the two protagonist volcanoes of “Lava”, the latest Disney Pixar short film, part of “Inside Out”.
Author for some of the greatest Italian artists, including Emma Marrone, Francesca Michielin, Deborah Iurato, Giovanni, at only 24 years old, already has important collaborations behind him like the one with Franco Battiato present in duet in the song “Satelliti nell’aria” inside of the debut album of the young singer-songwriter entitled “Here for you” and Carmen Consoli, in duet on “Resta con me”, a song written by Caccamo himself, in his second album “We are not alone”.
Giovanni’s architecture studies combine an intense passion for live music, from which he created his “Live at home” format-tour, which led him to perform at home all over the world, creating intimate and
special concerts. The project is a great success, human and media that gives Giovanni everything he needs to give shape to his musical universe: direct contact with the public and media attention.
Giovanni Caccamo has been appointed ambassador of UNESCO Giovani during the II National Assembly held in Naples from 13 to 15 January 2017.
